Children's Mercy Park Concessions
We have been involved with concessions at Children's Mercy Park and Sporting KC for the last couple of years. This has been an outstanding way for some of our families to earn fundraising credit which can be applied to Band Fees, trips, and other band-related expenses. While we will try to give parents and students connected to one of the OSHS music programs first shot at working, we must fill all of the required positions for each event so at some point, we will offer spots to individuals from other 501(c)(3) groups.

General Information
Who can work...
  • We need adults 21 and over to work stations that have contact with alcohol.
  • Students that are at least 16 years old may work. They will need a photo ID. Workers under 21 will have no contact with alcohol. When signing up YOUTH to work at a game…please put their age in the “comment box”. It is highly recommended that Youth create their own Sign Up Genius account so they will be included in email communications prior to game day. It makes it much easier if we can communicate directly with them.
  • Other family members may work to earn credit for the band student...please understand that all funds raised are all under the umbrella of the OS Band Boosters and the fundraising credit is only a matter of bookkeeping on our end. There is no exchange of cash for working an event.

 How much fundraising credit can you earn...
  • Each individual (adult and youth) will typically earn $70 per event.

What to wear...
  • ALL SOLID BLACK, no logos, no colored laces….you may have a black or white undershirt. Tasteful, solid black. NO white or colored soles or swooshes, and NO logos on the cap.
  • Hobby lobby has solid black caps for $2.99 and you can download on your phone a 40% coupon. Less than $2 for a cap.

How do we get there...
  • We can and will help organize rides, but anyone driving needs to have a parking pass ahead of time. You need to contact Michael Kuehnen at qnen34@gmail.com​  to make arrangements to get that.
